I was asked to design the title and credits for the film, Red Egg and Ginger, during my time at the NFTS.

The film follows Hannah, a half-white and half-Chinese teenager, who meets her newborn, 100% Chinese half-sister for the first time at a traditional Chinese event to celebrate her birth, forcing Hannah to question her cultural identity and where she fits in her family.

The film’s director, Olivia Owyeung and producer, Toyosi Fuwa, wanted the title to feel punchy with a personality. Based on the references and feedback, I was able to find a design that worked, which you can see below - as an image and in a short clip within the context of the film.

The film has since been selected to have its premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and more recently, the 2025 BFI Film Festival and I am glad to have played a part in it.
